The Design Manager is responsible for leading a team of learning professionals in the successful creation of Best Buy learning programs and solutions across multiple formats. This role focuses on the development of learning experiences that factors in the needs of employees, customers and the business. This leader will work closely with cross-functional groups within Enterprise Learning and Business Teams (where appropriate) to provide input on deliverables and their impact on our audience and ensures quality output.
Responsibilities:
Lead, develop, and manage a team of learning designers.
Be a learner advocate who reflects this through cross-functional collaboration and design and development of learning experiences.
Provide leadership and direction through a team to mobilize initiatives, strategies, and programs.
Has a pulse on industry best practices; shares and incorporates team development, learning support and design.
Build, champion, and influence a culture of learning.
Key Skills:
Ability to collaborate and form strong partnerships across many functions of the business.
Ability to create vision and prioritization within projects.
Comfortable with leveraging existing and new technology (video editing software, Vyond, teams, Adobe, etc.) to create learning solutions (podcasts, videos, eLearnings, etc.) and enable a learning environment.
Strong writing and copy-editing skills
Basic Qualifications
5 years HR or equivalent experience
3 years leadership and people management experience
3 years design and development experience or equivalent
