SUMMARY:
This position’s responsibilities include assisting in the proactive evaluation of current pay programs with an eye toward continuous improvement, implementation of new compensation programs, and supporting the overall strategic initiatives of the compensation team. This requires a highly technical skillset including the ability to use data transformation applications such as Alteryx, data visualization applications such as Power BI for reporting and analytics work, and advanced excel skills.
Enable data driven decision related to compensation and recognition strategy and operationalization for the compensation team. Reports to Director of Compensation for Corporate and supports team member groups encompassing executives, management, and frontline hourly.
The primary duties for this position are:
Advise leadership on compensation data and process improvement strategies to accelerate the business;
Influencing and gaining alignment from multiple stakeholders on compensation analytics approach and priorities across the enterprise.
Utilize project management skills to understand the business need, develop and test solutions with end users, and update stakeholders along the way.
Strong focus on data and process consulting (e.g. proactive data driven compensation planning, analytics, and visualization);
Provide Compensation data consulting to dynamic client groups for use in optimal rewards solutions to drive business growth;
With oversight from the Director of Compensation, serve as main point of contact on compensation analytics matters, involving other centers of expertise as appropriate;
Simplify complex data and processes clearly and concisely;
Partner with Corporate Compensation in development of company-wide compensation strategies and processes; pair with business unit needs and other people teams to deliver value add solutions
Process documentation, identifying improvement opportunities, and specific measurements to track performance post implementation
Conducting audits, developing and evolving solutions or tools that streamline Compensation process and systems.
Conducting market and trend analyses through wage survey input and market intelligence research on an ad hoc and annual basis.
Development and implementation of analytics, visualization, and self-service tools.
Enabling analytics skills across the team through training and knowledge sharing.
Running and developing reports utilizing datasets from SAP/Workday, Access and Excel, and assisting in year-end and other periodic compensation processes.
Other responsibilities include: Working with multiple levels of management for enable costing and return on investment analysis on compensation changes. Working with information technology and the compensation team to assist in providing forward thinking system and or transactional solutions. Maintaining and enhancing the department’s databases and applications creating various ad hoc and customized reports for both internal and external customers to include senior management. Responsibilities include the maintenance of highly confidential and sensitive information and performing other responsibilities as the need arises.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE: 3 plus years of compensation, information technology, finance and or relevant experience.
Computer Skills: Advanced use of Excel, access, data visualization (Power BI), and analytical (Alteryx) tools. Proficiency and or experience with visual basic (VBA) coding preferred.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable creating and presenting materials to varied audiences. Ability to communicate and translate complex technical details to end users and leadership.
Special Skills: Project management skills, initiative to manage a complex variety of tasks, comfortable taking ownership, detail oriented, advanced analytical skills, strong technical knowledge, excellent people skills, ability to work well in a cross functional team environment. Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
