SUMMARY:

This position’s responsibilities include assisting in the proactive evaluation of current pay programs with an eye toward continuous improvement, implementation of new compensation programs, and supporting the overall strategic initiatives of the compensation team. This requires a highly technical skillset including the ability to source/cleanse/maintain datasets for advanced reporting, data manipulation, and analysis.

Help define compensation and recognition strategy and operationalization for clients to optimize business impact through data and analytics. Reports to Director of Compensation for Corporate and supports a client group encompassing executives, management and non-exempt staff functions.

The primary duties for this position are:


Advocate and counselor for compensation data strategies and philosophies to accelerate the business;
Influencing and gaining alignment from multiple stakeholders on compensation analytics approach and priorities across the enterprise.
Strong focus on data and process consulting (e.g. proactive data driven compensation planning and analytics and visualization);
Provide Compensation data consulting to dynamic client groups for use in optimal rewards solutions to drive business growth;
With oversight from the Director of Compensation, serve as main point of contact for client groups on compensation analytics matters, involving other CoEs as appropriate;
Simplify complex data and processes clearly and concisely for client groups;
Partner with Corporate Compensation in development of company-wide compensation strategies and pair with BU business needs and other HR strategies to develop business specific rewards analytic strategies
Assist with special compensation projects as needed
Conducting audits developing and enhancing solutions and tools that streamline Compensation process and systems.
Conducting market and trend analyses through wage survey input and market intelligence research on an ad hoc and annual basis.
This position is responsible for analysis on large data sets and creating various reports and dashboards
Independently examining compensation practices by compiling statistical data, analyzing data, and conducting other data audits.
Development and implementation of analytics, visualization, and self-service tools.
Enabling analytics skills across the team through training and knowledge sharing.


Other responsibilities include: Working with multiple levels of management for development and approval of wage proposals. Working with IS personnel and the compensation team to assist in providing forward thinking system program and or transactional solutions. Maintaining and enhancing the department’s datasets and applications creating various ad hoc and customized reports for both internal and external customers to include senior management. Responsibilities include the maintenance of highly confidential and sensitive information and performing other responsibilities as the need arises.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree required

EXPERIENCE:

4 years of experience with 2 years of progressive compensation or analytics experience. Compensation or analytics consulting experience (external consultant experience a plus); Project management experience; Benefits and recognition experience a plus

SPECIAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Strong problem solving skills, project management, relationship building, strong analysis including statistical analysis, influence and communication, consulting, strategic thought leadership, business impact focus; courage, curiosity, empowerment and development (within own team and organizationally), simplification and continuous improvement focused

Computer Skills:

Requires standard computer and Microsoft skills. Advanced experience with Excel formulas, Access, data visualization and analytical/statistics tools (e.g., Alteryx, VBA, SQL, PowerBI), SQL, Workday report writing is a plus
