BASIC PURPOSE: This position will support our Human Resources team on answering questions, processing cases and contact tracing related to COVID-19. This position may also assist in the intake and follow up of incidents involving employee relations concerns or general policy questions.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Serve as point of contact for employees with questions about their time away from work. *Take ownership of each case and make reasonable decisions based on pre-determined criteria. *Communicate with employees and others clearly. *Maintain consistent and clear communication. *Accurately document details. *Offer empathy and discretion on handling sensitive issues around employee illness *Develop a plan of action and monitor each case. *Provide support in reporting as needed. *Provide efficient and courteous service through phone and email communication. *Maintain privacy and confidentiality of information. *Other duties assigned as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
*Education:
*HS Diploma or equivalent required *College degree preferred
*Experience:
*1 year experience in human resources, claims, customer service, or retail operations preferred
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
*Skills:
*Hard skills: Knowledge in Microsoft Office, keyboard with high degree of accuracy, and the ability to conduct research using a variety of sources *Soft Skills: Excellent written/verbal communication, detail oriented, ability to provide accurate documentation, flexibility and ability to prioritize projects, and conflict resolution skills
*Typical Physical Demands:
*Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping. *Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. *Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. *Requires normal range of hearing and vision. *Requires the ability to communicate via telephone for an extensive amount of time daily.
