Seattle in a Payroll Specialist role working directly with our Payroll Manager, as well as, collaborating with all areas of the Finance and Human Resource teams. We prefer applicants to be based in Seattle but are also open to Columbus!As our ideal candidate, you are analytical and methodical, with experience in payroll administration. You should have basic knowledge of payroll and the confidence to research issues. You thrive in a fast-paced environment through your organizational skills and ability to work in a rapidly changing environment. You are curious minded, detail-oriented and able to prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines.Your New Role:Interact directly with employees and Human Resources to resolve payroll related issuesSupport payroll function by collecting tax forms and direct deposit informationCalculate overtime and salary adjustments for employeesMaintain accurate records and keep up-to-date on payroll regulationsAssist in preparing federal and state tax filingsResearch problems and propose solutionsAssist in establishing, improving and documenting processesDemonstrate leadership, communication and teamwork on a daily basisSpecial projects and other duties as needed or requiredWhat you will need to succeed:Minimum of 2 years payroll and general ledger experience with a track record of progressive responsibilityBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with knowledge of GAAP preferredExperience with a multi-company and multi-currency environmentAccuracy and strong analytical skills are essentialAbility to work under pressure to meet deadlines, remaining professional, responsive and cooperativeStrong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skillsDemonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively with all levels of employeesStrong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
