Sourcing Manager - Partner Talent Acquisition
Who You'll Work With
You will be based in our Chicago office as part of our global passive candidate sourcing center of excellence. You will also have strong 'dotted line' responsibilities to the partner talent acquisition team and regional recruiting teams to contribute to the sourcing and hiring of external partners and associate partners. In this capacity, you will advise partner talent acquisition managers, partners and senior partners on best practice sourcing strategies to meet their strategic senior level hiring goals.
Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other recruiting teams on sourcing and attraction strategies as well as with people function teams (e.g., professional development, legal, compensation) on relevant candidate insights and market trends for senior level talent.
What You'll Do
You will provide dedicated sourcing expertise to identify, attract and hire external partner and associate partner level talent to meet the firm's strategic senior talent needs and deliver on our leadership diversity goals.
Working closely with the partner talent acquisition team, experienced professional recruiters, partners and practice leaders, you will define direct sourcing strategies for senior level talent, conduct senior candidate outreach and help shape our value proposition and advance our talent brand among senior audiences.
You will work closely with partner talent acquisition and other recruiting teams to understand senior level hiring priorities and open roles and continually adjust sourcing strategies to meet them. You will identify top external senior level talent through a variety of channels including working with our practice leaders, sponsors and senior hires to generate viable referrals.
You will lead 'C-level' outreach to external partner and associate partner level candidates to get them excited about McKinsey, and determine which candidates to advance to the appropriate recruiting team. You will develop senior talent pools by maintaining senior-level 'keep in touch' network for top external candidates who are not the right fit for an immediate need including regular outreach and continually evaluating their fit for other senior hiring needs as they arise.
You will help to shape McKinsey's value proposition for external partner and associate partner level talent by sharing candidate feedback with the partner talent acquisition team and by participating in new hire feedback sessions to continually refine and strengthen our messaging.
Qualifications
Strong project management skills to lead and structure thinking and work; ability to manage multiple demands and priorities
Expertise or passion for learning research and sourcing tools; strong drive to stay current on market innovations (e.g., AI tools) and competitive trends
Ability to adhere to the highest professional and process standards, even under pressure
Strong integrity, maturity and fairness in dealing with people and confidential information
