Description

The Senior Associate Benefits Professional applies forward-looking, innovative thought to strategy, design and delivery to help position the company as an employer-of-choice in the present and future. The Senior Associate Benefits Professional will achieve this by assisting in the design, implementation and communication of Humana's benefit programs.

Responsibilities

The Senior Associate Benefits Professional utilizes deep understanding of contemporary practice and the associate community to develop and implement competitive benefit offerings that contribute to associates well-being and emphasize perceived value while balancing expense and business requirements, including regulatory compliance. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

The Senior Associate Benefits Professional will collaborate with subject matters experts in the Benefits, Well-being, and Compensation teams and also with HR and division operational leadership in understanding, quantifying, and communicating benefit change impacts.

Under the general direction and oversight of the AVP of Benefits, this role will serve the primary roles under the core functions:

Benefits Design:

Compare divisional benefit offerings to appropriate peer companies, industry benchmarks, and acquisition targets to determine appropriate offerings.

Partner with SMEs within benefits and in other departments to design benefit offerings ensuring compliance.

Develop the implementation strategy, timeline, and overall process for new benefits and benefit changes.

Partner with the business unit operations and communication teams to develop both high level and employee specific communication plans for benefit changes.

Required Qualifications


Bachelor's degree
3 or more years of Health, Welfare, and Retirement Benefit Administration experience
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
