Job Description
The Director of Human Resources is a hands-on, results oriented leader with a keen ability to influence site leadership to drive a performance-based culture of innovation, accountability and customer focus. Hands-on recruitment experience and the ability to guide managers through the recruiting, hiring, onboarding, goal setting and performance management process is essential for this role. Will have demonstrated experience effectively coaching and developing managers and supporting the business at both a tactical and strategic level. Knowledge of and experience providing counsel for matters of employee relations, employment law, compensation and benefits programs, salary administration, career progression and leadership development is also essential for the role. The position requires superior leadership behaviors of the Alcami core competencies and non-negotiables, as well as expertise in functional and technical knowledge of human resources management, employment law, change management and organizational development.
Essential Functions
Oversee a range of human resources services, providing proactive HR leadership and consultation to business groups supporting leaders, managers and employees of the organization
Partner with senior leadership to provide the strategic leadership in organizational change and other new initiatives
Ensure organizational success in complex competitive business situations such as, exceptional business trajectories, reorganizations, and high growth
Provide change management expertise to drive faster adoption, greater utilization and higher proficiency on the changes impacting employees in the organization
Develop and deploy change management training programs across client groups
Design and/or implement programs in accordance with company-wide human resources policies, procedures and initiatives
Serve as a consultant to client group management and responsible for identifying the need for HR programs or strategies to support business objectives, as well as strategic direction
Serve as integrated part of the business, working with and advising the managers of respective client groups to align with and assist in accomplishing broader business objectives, and making recommendations for changes in organizational structure or processes to support growth within the organization
Provide senior management with an interpretation of current HR policies and may facilitate the training of managers and supervisors on HR programs and policies
Partner with the VP of HR to deliver customized programs and services to the business in the areas of
Total Rewards (drive merit, bonus and equity planning process, coach managers on market pricing, differentiation and compensation philosophy)
Organizational Development and Talent Management (lead talent planning across all levels of the organization for assigned client groups with a focus on development, succession planning and retention),
Performance Management (support all levels of management by providing HR advice, counsel and decisions regarding performance improvement)
Employee Relations (work through investigation processes, ensuring adherence to appropriate employment laws and policies
Talent Acquisition (work closely with business leadership to identify staffing priorities and recruiting strategies to win the war for talent)
Develop and conduct presentations to employees and managers on a variety of HR subjects
Participate in global HR initiatives that may require taking the lead on HR projects outside of the location.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
8 years of related human resources experience, including a minimum of 5 years of prior HRBP experience.
Prior HR experience in the pharmaceutical, CDMO and/or manufacturing environments preferred.

Functional Competencies

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and smell. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
