The Senior Payroll Specialist ensures compliance with Telecare procedures as well as union, state, and federal regulations.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSu003c/strongu003eu003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Demonstrates the Telecare mission, purpose, values, and beliefs in everyday language and contact with the internal and external stakeholdersu003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Provides support in all areas of payroll cycle as needed, including processing bi-weekly payroll, garnishments and levies, manual checks/adjustments, LOA payment integration and Kronos timekeeping review and auditu003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Assists in review and updating of all payroll policies and procedures to maximize efficiency of payroll cycleu003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Assists in special projects designed to streamline systems and workflowu003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Ensures policies and procedures are followed for the timely generation of payroll (i.e. timely accurate paychecks are issued in accordance with state and federal regulations) u003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Remains current with federal, state, rulings by studying existing, and new legislation (e.g. APA, seminars/webinars) u003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Keeps abreast of system upgrades and assists with special projects and testing u003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Assists with accurate and timely quarter and year-end tax reconciliation and reporting u003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Handles escalated customer service issues, while keeping Payroll Manager informed; u003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Assists Payroll Specialists with questions and workflow as needed in the absence of the Payroll Manageru003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Relates with others in a positive and professional manner so that maximum job results are produced u003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Maintains payroll schedule/calendar for processing in coordination with Telecare and bank holidays u003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Demonstrates the ability to make sound decisions while keeping manager informed u003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Compose a variety of correspondence and reports, which requires judgment regarding content, accuracy, and completenessu003cbr /u003eDuties and responsibilities may be added, deleted and/or changed at the discretion of management.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003ePosition requires driving own personal vehicle for company business such as trainings, offsite meetings, etc.u003c/strongu003eu003cbr /u003eu003cstrongu003eu003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eQUALIFICATIONSu003c/strongu003eu003cbr /u003eRequired: u003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Ten (10) years of payroll experience, including progressive responsibilitiesu003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Demonstrated experience with payroll systems and processes for a medium to large organizationu003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Knowledge of methods, practices, and principals of payroll preparation and processingu003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Experience with financial record keeping, including accounting theories as applied to payroll transactionsu003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Experience with UltiPro (preferred) and automated time and attendance systems, such as Kronos Timekeeperu003cbr /u003eu0026bull; Computer literacy with proficiency in Excel and Word.
