Description
The Associate Director, Technology Leadership is responsible for all aspects of software or hardware product delivery and performance. The Associate Director, Technology Leadership requires a solid understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across department(s).
Responsibilities
As the Associate Director, the incumbent will lead the strategic technology strategy and execution for the Enterprise Incentive Compensation programs. We have an enterprise strategic investment to transition both internal and external compensation to the industry leading platform, Varicent over the next 3 years. This role will be accountable for the entire strategy, business process redesign partnership, and full implementation/migrations to the new IT platform. In addition, we will continue to maintain and implement the new plan design changes for the next 3 years on our current platform in parallel to the new platform migration.
Leads the technical and support strategy for new large-scale applications and platforms.
Drives the strategy for and leads platform onboarding, operational excellence, working with business operations and multiple IT development teams.
Influences resource support structure, development teams in areas of product development priorities, requirements, design, support strategy, and operational planning
Supports product evaluation and qualification on leading edge production monitoring and automation technology components
Leads associate and contractor resources in the development and continuous improvement of release readiness processes
Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision
Works and uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Collaboration and partnership with IT Service Functions (PSM, ITSA, etc) in order to establish a framework that leverages best practices, tools and processes in harmony with specific platform operational process that need to developed.
Define operational metrics with partners and coordinate the reporting and communication of performance with the business partners
IT KPI performance measures. Identify and monitor key IT Performance Indicators in a consistent manner across the capabilities and provide support during issue resolution.
Identify and implement Platform specific monitoring tools in partnership with internal IT service functions and the Platform provider.
Define, Modify and socialize Platform Operational SLA's for the new platform
Work with business/ IT teams to configure Platform to changing business processes
Work with Platform partner to ensure resilience and availability of the platform are assured, and an 'always on' strategy is defined and implemented.
Partner with 'Experience' delivery teams within software engineering to ensure that guardrails and standards for delivery of products on the platform are defined and adhered to in order to ensure the Platform is 'protected' from disruption at all times.
Accountability for partnering with Businesses and others in Humana IT to ensure they are coordinated in their transition and ongoing use of the capabilities within Incentive Compensation
Responsible for all aspects capacity planning and management in collaboration with internal PSM team and the Platform provider.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
2 or more years of management experience
Experience with the technologies in use in the application(s) or infrastructure
Experience with unit testing and mocking
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior leaders
Advanced experience leading special projects and producing metrics, measurements and trend reports
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or other Advanced Degree
Demonstrated ability to run large scale, highly visible programs with responsibility for multiple project teams
Possess a solid understanding of operations, technology, communications and processes
Six Sigma certification
ITIL certification
