The Human Resources Team is a staff ministry team that exists to serve our staff in the areas of staffing, benefits, payroll, and more. If God has called you to HR with an emphasis on the technical side of the profession, please consider applying for the position below.
Primary Duties:
Perform routine and complex tasks within HR systems – input data, review automated processes for accuracy, and perform mass updates
Create and generate ad hoc and scheduled reports (standard and complex). Analyze and organize data to find conclusions, trends, and statistics.
Manipulate data in Excel and summarize for different audiences, as appropriate
Assist in reviewing, testing, and implementation of enhancements and upgrades for all HR systems.
Research and resolve system problems, unexpected results, or flaws. Suggest areas for customization and upgrade.
Troubleshoot vendor file feeds
Develop and update end-user training materials. Assist staff with system support via phone, email, and in-person
Maintain awareness of product updates, trends, and new technologies.
Participate in webinars and user groups as they are made available.
Creatively work to improve and enhance HR systems to better serve Saddleback ministries
Other duties as assigned
Experience & Qualifications:
Advanced level Excel skills (combining multiple spreadsheets, pivot tables, advanced formulas, macros, integrating Excel with other HR systems, etc.)
System Admin level experience with an HRIS system, preferably UKG
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Understanding of Human Resources and Payroll policies, laws, and terminology
Strong communication skills to communicate complex processes in simple ways to all levels of staff
Extreme attention to detail
An understanding of Saddleback Church and its culture and values.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of related experience preferred
