What We’re Looking For:
The Sr. Manager of Academic Recruitment and Development will be an integral part of the Corporate Program Operations team as well as the HR Leadership Team. This role is both strategic and tactical and requires someone who can maneuver comfortably in either skill. This person leads a global team of consultants and recruiters who support the staffing, recruiting, contracting and hiring efforts of faculty and staff for our University Partners across all levels of the 2U portfolio (Degree, Executive Education, edX partnerships, Trilogy Bootcamps).
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Responsible for designing and executing the staffing, recruitment and hiring strategies in partnership with University counterparts.
Hire, lead and develop a global team of consultants, recruiters and career pathing professionals who support the staffing recruiting and hiring efforts of our University partners
Creating and executing faculty sourcing and recruiting consultation and training bootcamps and intake sessions
Managing the team’s usage of Applicant Tracking and other people systems and dashboards
Serve as a conduit into the academic recruitment space internal stakeholders and partners
Conducting research from a variety of sources and compiling results for various projects to be presented to 2U’s executive stakeholders
Work closely with 2U’s Program Management, Sales and Implementation teams to ensure that all new programs have a clear faculty acquisition program in place prior to implementation and launch
Think critically about current processes, systems and relationships and identify possible issues before they become issues
Manage and create workflow, processes and documentation between systems and groups
Create and analyze metrics reports, data analysis and benchmarking strategies
Creating complex reports and benchmarking studies relating to faculty recruiting, hiring and retention trends; these reports and studies will be used to advise and consult partners on how to make effective recruiting and hiring decisions.
Educating our partners about the changes and evolution of hiring in the online space
Identify opportunities for improvement and growth within the programs
Think creatively and drive initiatives from inception to implementation
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
Bachelor’s degree required; degree in HR, Business or Communications preferred
8-10 years’ experience directly managing a talent acquisition team
8-10 years’ experience in an HR or Operations leadership role
Very strong familiarity with HR/Talent Management/Operations policies and principles
Very strong analytical skills with the ability to create, manage and report on data and metrics
Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong communication skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels in the company and approach each scenario from all perspectives
Strong presentation skills
Strong customer service background
Strong research skills
Extensive experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, People Systems and Reporting Tools
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, inclusive of Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong knowledge of LinkedIn and it’s functionality
Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change
Focused on achieving defined results and exceeding goals and objectives
Ability to bring out other people’s potential and talents
Ability to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
Ability to travel to universities
Ability to manage information with confidence and discretion
