The Team
Born from X, the moonshot factory, and working alongside teams at Google, were building a new type of robot. One that can learn by itself, to help anyone with (almost) anything. With one foot in today, and the other in tomorrow, we seek to turn the helper robots of science fiction novels into reality. Doing this requires taking on the hardest problems in robotics. All so we can work towards a future where helper robots are a part of a better everyday, for everyone.

Your Impact
In this position, you will be the rock-solid interface between employees and the business, aiming to meet the needs of both. You are tenacious and resourceful, creative and driven, positive and results focused.
Responsibilities
Provide employee support and consultation to the business, answering employee and manager questions about programs, policies, and other related items (Perf, Comp, career goals, employee engagement, recognition, attrition and retention, training, etc.)
Advise on performance management issues and lead minor investigations
Partner with program managers in planning and roll-out of employee focused programs and initiatives
Partner with our internal teams to maintain processes, communications, and programs that enable our extended workforce to be and feel valued while also ensuring we are in compliance with applicable laws
Find opportunities to improve our policies by connecting the dots across multiple experiences of our team. Identify and propose solutions to correct inconsistent policies and gaps
Minimum qualifications
Demonstrated experience in a human resources capacity
Have self-initiative, creativity, perseverance and flexibility; comfort with high rate of change and ability to navigate ambiguity on a regular basis
Ability to influence through development of effective cross-functional relationships
Use data and expertise to collaborate and drive decisions throughout the organization
Passion for and experience with equity, inclusion and diversity initiatives
Preferred qualifications
Start-up experience, preferably in consumer electronics or artificial intelligence
A proven teammate and trusted advisor, with a proven track record of handling employee/business matters with integrity and transparency
Experience with coaching and mentoring others
