Job Description
Per the City’s COVID19 Mandatory Vaccination Policy, the City requires all employees starting on or after February 11, 2022, to provide proof of vaccination as a condition of employment absent a documented medical and/or religious exemption. Proof of vaccination means that employees are required to be “up-to-date” with regards to the COVID-19 vaccine. Consistent with the Santa Clara County Public Health Order issued on December 28, 2021, up-to-date means that an employee is not only fully vaccinated, but has also obtained any booster doses of a COVID-19 vaccination for which they are eligible, within 15 days of first becoming eligible.

In addition to the starting salary, employees in the Senior Analyst classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.
This position is currently budgeted through June 30, 2022 and will likely be extended through June 30, 2023.
The Employment Division in the Human Resources Department oversees the recruitment needs of the City and it’s classification system. This Program Manager will lead the classification/compensation function of the division to oversee all Citywide projects in conjunction with the department’s subject matter experts and will act at the primary contact for consultants.
This Program Manager will be vital contributor in this role as accurate classifications are critical to successfully recruiting people with the right skills. The Program Manager will support the City’s goal of building a more equitable workforce that better reflects the community we serve by addressing the City’s classification needs.
The Program Manager will report directly to the Division Manager and will supervise one Sr. Analyst and one Analyst. This opportunity is well suited for an individual with hands-on experience with the classification process and who has a strong understanding of the broader implications of a well-written classification. Candidates who have excellent communication skills, who can build relationships, and manage multiple, time sensitive projects, while meeting goals and timelines are encouraged to apply.

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a closely related field
2. Experience:
Five years of directly related experience, including two years of supervisory experience.
3. Licenses or Certificates: Some positions may require licensing
