Job Summary:

They will also work with leaders to support the strategic business imperatives. This role will be a key player in helping leaders to build a strong strategy that drives business success while also meeting employment law requirements, increasing employee engagement, and developing strong leadership competencies across the organization. HR Business Partners work with the recruiting and professional development teams and leaders to execute a variety of talent management decisions including the acquisition of key talent, the development of teams and individuals, and other important decisions affecting the organization. They will act as the legal company representative in the resolution of employee issues.
Education and experience requirements:
Bachelor's degree and relevant HR Business Partner experience supporting senior leaders required; 2-4 years is ideal
Candidate must also have experience with multiple HR disciplines including employee relations, good compensation practices, organizational development, performance management, employment law, and principles of talent development.
Experience working as an HR professional within the medical science industry a plus.
Essential Duties:
Work with HR leadership and local leaders to facilitate effective leader development that is based upon clear succession plans to meet future needs of the organization
Partner with leaders on talent management:
Assess departmental talent needs
Identify retention risks and initiate retention efforts
Guide talent development plans and follow up on progress
Drive initiatives to increase employee engagement by working closely with leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
Provide guidance and input on organizational design proposals, workforce planning initiatives, and business offering expansions
Lead the organization to make certain that job descriptions have clear competencies, are accurate, consistent, and match equivalent roles as benchmarked across the industry
Partner with leaders in workforce planning:
Staffing requests
Promotions
Transfers
Voluntary and involuntary terminations
Contingent staff
Shift changes
Other employee changes
Provide pay rates based on current compensation assessments and in line with maintaining internal and external pay equity
Partner with the Talent Acquisition Manager and recruiters to support managers in the following ways:
Promote timely talent acquisition of highly qualified candidates
Drive interviewing and hiring practices that are consistent and compliant with current employment laws
Support current hiring initiatives to meet the needs of the organization
Partner with the Professional Development Department (PDD) Manager to support leaders and employees:
Train on various HR-related topics as needed
Lead the performance management process through regular, meaningful 1:1s, midyear check in, end of year performance reviews and goal setting.
Work with the HR leader to manage and resolve complex employee issues; conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations when necessary
Work with the corporate leave administrator to guide ADA accommodations and medical or non-medical leave requests
Guide ADA accommodation requests
Collaborate with the corporate compensation and benefits team to communicate benefits open enrollment, compensation initiatives, etc.
Regulatory Compliance
Know and follow applicable regulatory requirements (GMP, GLP, ISO, etc.)
Know and follow company policies and procedures
Complete required training on time

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office and laboratory environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, keyboards, computer mouse, telephones, photocopiers, projectors, and file cabinets.
Occasional travel during the business day. Some out-of-the area and overnight travel may be expected.
Physical requirements:
Required to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for much of the workday. May be required to lift to 10 lbs.
