The Compensation Specialist
assists with collecting data, evaluating/analyzing, costing, and administering compensation programs. Develops documentation for compensation processes and procedures. Creates and updates job descriptions and evaluates jobs. Performs market research, analyzes data, and makes recommendations as to job pricing. Prepares reports to assist with planning and identifies opportunities for and implements process improvement.

Responsibilities
Assist with benchmarking and evaluating the competitiveness of the company's pay practices, including base pay, short-term, long-term incentive programs and other compensation programs
Recommend base salary for new hires and promotions; analyze incumbent work history in relation to job requirements and peers, analyze internal equity and position in range based on company compensation policy.
Troubleshoot and resolve compensation issues; consult with HR Corporate Manager and leaders on interpretation of compensation policies and procedures
Create and execute a plan and timeline to review each department's compensation bands by position to in order to revise compensation bands vs. market data.
Analyze company's benefits and total rewards offering from a financial view and present findings
Prepare monthly reporting package of total company and compensation by department metrics and equity metrics.
Partner with FP&A to ensure that correct estimates of compensation related to forecasted hiring are reflected in the company budget
Conducts, reviews and updates job, audits, analyzes, describes and evaluates positions to produce descriptions and recommend grades consistent with evaluation procedures.
Assists and participates in the implementation of variable pay, performance and bonus program.
Reviews and updates job descriptions
Analyze, review, and develop materials related to the execution of all compensation programs
Assist in the administration of the annual compensation review cycle including managing timelines, auditing data, creating draft communications, delivering training, supporting compensation planning system, etc.
Additional people operations analytical projects as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related major or equivalent experience
At least 2 years of experience in a
Able to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, present complex ideas concisely and clearly articulate information verbally and in writing
Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy
· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, macros and formulas required.
Understanding of basic compensation or financial fundamentals, statistics, or cost analysis required.
