Your position:
As a Service Manager you will be responsible for deliver and manage best practice dementia specific care to Day Care / Day Care at home and Home Care Service Users across County Donegal.
You will manage a team of two Home Care Coordinators and two Day Centre Managers and also work closely with a CE Supervisor. Team leading experience is essential for this role.
You will provide and promote a model of care which is person centred, community focused and has an appreciation of the needs of the carer. You will be responsible for managing and guiding all the staff required to run the service. You will be responsible for health and safety and administration of the service.
To be successful in this role you will need experience in caring for the person with dementia. You will be required to have experience in Human Resource Management, Financial management, Quality standards and risk management. You will need good communication skills, be open and enthusiastic, have a positive attitude, lead by example, make staff feel valued, and be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
You will also liaise with families of Service users. You will be responsible for client assessments, care plans, health and safety and administration of the service.
Your profile:
Third level Nursing qualifications, ideally Mental Health Nursing or Intellectual Disability Nursing qualifications, however General Nursing might be considered
Current registration with the NMBI
Min 5 years nursing experience working with people with Dementia / Alzheimer's
Team Leading / Staff management experience essential
Excellent time management skill and planning ability required
Full driving licence and own car required (expenses paid)
Excellent communication skills
