Individual will be responsible for supporting pay-setting and market research guidance for to determine if current benefits and pay are both in alignment and competitive with the market.
Work you’ll do
Research, gather, and analyze data to determine appropriate salary levels for various work roles
Support the execution and administration of compensation policies and programs
Maintain a database for accessing compensation information and associated job descriptions
Conduct salary surveys, interpret salary data and perform compensation analysis
Evaluate proposed and current work roles for alignment with agency pay bands
Support the development of a competitive compensation strategy and structure to attract both active and passive candidates
Develop data methodology, identify federal incentive pay programs and determine costing of base salaries, interpret compensation practices and guidelines in support of the review of annual pay setting trends
Perform project tasks independently, and may direct the efforts of others
Participate in and/or lead the development of deliverable content that meets the needs of the client and contract
Anticipate client needs and formulate solutions to client issues
Review deliverables for accuracy and quality
Provides coaching to junior staff
Contributes to new business proposals and proposal development
Manages own personal and professional development; seeks opportunities for professional growth and expansion of consulting skills and experiences

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Psychology (I/O Psychology, Sociology, Information Technology, or Hard Sciences with a focus on research and analysis
At least 2 years of experience in compensation in the public or private sector or a compensation consulting background
Strong knowledge of compensation surveys, custom survey design and statistical Analysis, incentive plan design and analysis, job evaluation methodologies and pay structure analysis and design
Experience working independently with minimal supervision and guidance
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment
Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools
Statistical analysis experience (use of statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, Stata, MATLAB, R)
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Active TS/SCI security Clearance with Polygraph
Preferred:
Familiarity with information technology solutions including server-hosted and desktop applications- prefer SQL, C or Visual Basic skills
Experience in developing reports using any major BI Package (MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Cognos, Oracle BIEE or similar
