POSITION PROFILE
JOB REQUIREMENT:

The Human Resources Generalist serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues and is responsible for aligning business objectives with associates and management. The HR Generalist acts on a wide range of HR activities including, but not limited to employee relations, performance management, organizational development, leadership coaching and development. This is a hands-on generalist role and is the primary HR contact for Knoll Manufacturing Operations. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Proactively apply knowledge by functioning as a Generalist in Human Resources technologies and people issues.
Proactively market and deliver value-adding interventions pertaining to organizational development, effectiveness and talent management.
Participates as a member of the Human Resources Team.
Participates in ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies. Coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas of lack of cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues effecting cohesiveness. Actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.
Facilitate groups to help them solve problems, build relationships, transfer HR knowledge and achieve business goals.
Utilize team training techniques to facilitate positive relationships with supported teams and business partners.
Conduct interventions to optimize employee relations and conflict resolution for assigned client groups when appropriate.
Listening to, comprehending and articulating the voice of the associates and acting as an impartial advocate to ensure all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment.
Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for compliance.
Implement and follow all appropriate HR processes related to ensuring accurate associate data.
This may include but is not limited to offer letters, job descriptions, organizational charts, associate data forms for job titles, supervisors, pay, etc.
Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.

Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in a related field.
Two to five years of experience as an HR professional
Bilingual (Spanish)
Required Experience
Proven proficiency in employee relations, performance management, professional coaching and development
Experience supporting associates in a manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to influence, interact and communicate with people at all organizational levels
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple, concurrent priorities
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS and Payroll systems
Strong analytical and communication skills required
