Job Details:
erform a variety of human resources functions for the operations facility including: Employee relations, recruitment and retention, benefits administration, leading change and innovation initiatives, worker’s compensation case management, policy development and implementation and employment law.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:
Maintains staffing requirements for hourly positions at plant level through continued communication with supervisors and plant manager.
Assists with new hire orientation
Development and management of departmental metrics for the facility
Creates and maintains job requisitions and descriptions for facility.
Manages and administers a variety of Human Resources functions
Oversees the performance management review system for hourly employees.
Employee Relations
Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal customers.
Develops and maintains a positive image of the Human Resources department.
Maintains, implements and enforces policies and procedures.
Ensures that company is compliant with all laws
Oversees compensation program for hourly plant associates.
Management training and development.
Assists with benefits orientations and enrollments .
Assists with workers compensation claims management.
Associate development
Works closely with all associates in assisting with individual development.
Manages disciplinary process including assisting supervisors with disciplinary situations, ensures consistency with disciplinary program.
Works closely to assure compliance with union contract where applicable.
Any other duties as required by Tecumseh Poultry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
2-4 years HR experience, preferably in manufacturing environment.
Human Resources Certification preferred (PHR or SPHR).
Other qualifications:
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
