We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. HR Specialist, Employment Screening to join our team. This role is responsible for screening services including (but not limited to): the individualized review of background checks, daily written/verbal communication with candidates and internal partners, resolving drug test concerns, documenting casework and case resolution, answering screening-based questions, and the analysis of screening data. As part of background check reviews, the Specialist must be comfortable having conversations with candidates about sensitive material, including their criminal history and screening results. The role requires the ability to adapt quickly and make decisions in ambiguous situations.
Must
document all aspects of casework in the Case Management system and make final determinations on screening cases in compliance with federal/state/local regulations and company guidelines, taking partners as needed. Successful Specialists will manage their time effectively, be focused on accuracy and completeness, maintain confidentiality and compliance requirements, actively ask questions and take partners, and be willing cross-train and support other areas of Employee Relations.
Basic requirements:
1 year of Human Resources, Risk Management, Fraud Prevention or equivalent experience
1 year of work experience handling sensitive and/or confidential information
1 year of work experience following strict process and documentation procedures
1 year of work experience Microsoft Outlook & Excel
Willingness and ability to conduct sensitive phone conversations, including discussion of criminal history
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1 or more years of investigative casework experience
• 2 or more years of Human Resources experience
• Working knowledge of FCRA, EEOC, and other employment screening regulations
