Benefits Billing Representative

Profile

The Benefits Billing Representative is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the ongoing billing and payments related to employee benefits enrollment and management. Responsibilities include:
Managing employee benefits such as health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and retirement plans, as it relates to billing
Coordinate Billing Process: The coordinator must ensure that benefits are properly billed and paid for accurately and on time.
Analyze Billings: They must review and analyze bills from vendors and carriers to ensure the accuracy of billing information.
Communicate with Employees and Carriers: The coordinator must maintain a professional relationship with employees and carriers to answer any questions or concerns about benefits.
Maintain Employee Records: They must maintain and update employee records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Process and Approve Claims: The coordinator must process and approve claims submitted by employees and ensure that they are accurate.
Troubleshoot Problems: Coordinate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve any problems related to benefits payments.
Execute Benefit Plans: They must execute the benefit plans negotiated by the company leaders and ensure they are correctly implemented.
Develop Communication Materials: Develop communication materials to educate employees about the benefits program and their coverage options.
Research and Analyze new Benefit Options: Conduct research and analysis on new benefit options to help meet employee needs.
This role requires excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills, a bachelor's degree in human resources, finance or related fields, and experience with employee benefits management. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word, are also essential.
