Under the direction of the engineering dept, the Engineer Tech is responsible for the design, development and implementation of various engineering projects. This includes performing research, designing and developing new systems, troubleshooting existing systems and providing technical support to other departments. The Engineer Tech will also analyze user requirements, design solutions to complex problems, develop prototypes and provide on-site support.. May perform routine maintenance of manufacturing and warehouse equipment according to manual.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair complex electronic and mechanical systems
Assist engineering staff with product testing
Provide technical advice to engineering staff
Document repairs and modifications to engineering equipment
Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of engineering equipment
Monitor the performance of production equipment for potential problems
Maintain accurate records of all repairs/modifications
Assist in the development of new products or processes
Ensure that all safety procedures are followed in the work area
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years experience in a related field
Knowledgeable in the operation, maintenance, and repair of complex electronic/mechanical systems
Ability to read blueprints,
Able to read and understand electrical codes, electronic drawing, and Programmable logic controllers (PLC).
Experience
Required
4 years:
technical experience.
2 years:
electrical, automation, and mechanical troubleshooting experience (i.e. PLC, robotics, vision systems).
Experience in troubleshooting basic electrical circuit systems.
Knowledge of A/C inverters and frequency drives.
Hydraulic and pneumatic repair skills.
Preferred
Knowledge of National Electrical Code
