Product Assembly Technician

Profile

We are seeking a Product Assembly Technician for a very important client.

The company is seeking a skilled and experienced technician to assemble electrical and mechanical subsystems and final product for prototype systems in house before transitioning to a CM partner. The ideal candidate will have some mechanical assembly experience, a high degree of manual dexterity, great attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The successful applicant will be responsible for performing assembly steps, finishing products, packing products for shipment and reporting any issues with inventory or assembly steps to supervisors.? Experience with electronics assembly and soldering skills, using basic machine shop tools (drill press, laser cutter) and basic hand tools is a plus.? Responsibilities and Duties:
? Work with researchers to set-up mechanical and electrical tests
? Run mechanical and waterproof testing of enclosures
? Assemble small volumes of product to test production set-up
? Monitor the production process
? Carry out basic quality and testing checks
? Store goods and raw materials properly in our facility
? Pack goods to be shipped
? Maintain work areas and equipment
Requirement:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Qualifications and Skills:
? High school diploma/GED required
? 2 years? experience working in assembly or manufacturing
? Strong work ethic and organizational skills
? Able to multi-task in a fast-paced research environment
? Capable of lifting 20 pounds unassisted
? Able to work on foot for extended periods of time
