Family Resource Specialist
Building Healthy Families is seeking a creative and compassionate individual to join our enthusiastic home visiting team. As Resource Specialist you offer support to expectant and new parents as they begin their journey of nurturing and bonding with their children by: Partnering with medical providers and community organizations to connect families with program resources
Building positive relationships with expectant and new parents of diverse cultural backgrounds in their own homes
Linking families to community supports, healthcare, and other resources based on their strengths, interests, and needs
Plan and participate in community outreach events and represent the program at networking meetings
This position is 30 hours/week and involves travel within Otsego County. Building Healthy Families offers mileage reimbursement, flexible hours, outstanding professional development opportunities, and a supportive team environment. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a human services-related field OR Associate’s degree in a human services-related field with 2-years relevant experience; proficient in basic computer skills and software; valid New York State driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
