The Human Resources Director serves as a member of the Global Supply Chain & Supply Management HR team and a key business partner and trusted advisor for leaders in the deliver segment of the Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization. This role partners with leaders for the logistics, distribution and trade operations teams as well having accountability for close collaboration with the regional HR business partners for the four regional supply chain teams (Americas, APAC, EMEA, and Greater China) to achieve short- and long-term strategic and organizational priorities.
**A Day in the Life**
This role will provide HR leadership and consultation during a multi-year organizational transformation effort to design, develop and operationalize an integrated, end-to-end deliver organization across Medtronic. The role will have accountability for organizational development & effectiveness, organizational change management, leadership coaching, workforce planning and talent management. Additionally, the HRBP is responsible for championing the HR service delivery model by collaborating with other HRBPs, HR Centers of Expertise (COE) and AskHR resources to ensure effective execution of HR programs and initiatives and significant impact to business results and the overall employee experience.
Change Management/Organization Leadership:
Provide strategic leadership to facilitate organization design and leadership changes
Design strategic initiatives to ensure organizational effectiveness, with specific focus on supply chain end-to-end transformation, multi-country team effectiveness, global matrix management, and functional efficiency and excellence
Partner with management to ensure effective organization structure, design, and staffing models
Drive Organizational Health, Inclusion, Diversity, and Engagement initiatives and execution for Supply Chain organizations as well as managing projects in partnership with the overall Global Operations & Supply Chain organization
Work with COEs to ensure leadership for workforce planning, acquisitions, organization changes and re-alignments, and HR-related technologies
Talent Management/Development:
Partner with clients to implement regular Talent Reviews, Organization Reviews, Career Development Planning, Performance Reviews, Workforce Planning, Organization Health assessments and surveys, etc.
Identify and plan for future talent needs while upgrading the talent bench
Drive progress toward GIDE aspirations and ensure diversity of talent
Lead talent strategies to enable rapid global growth, including potential M&A
Strengthen succession planning & talent readiness
Employee Relations & Communications:
Partner with the Employee Relations COE to anticipate, identify and facilitate resolution of employee relations issues
Counsel leaders in alignment with Medtronic policies/practices, legal considerations, and company prioritiesadvocating both company and employee concerns
Partner with client leaders and communications function to ensure effective internal and external communications for their organizations
Total Rewards Management:
Partner with the COE to effectively implement and communicate Medtronic compensation and benefits programs to successfully attract, motivate and retain employees
Ensure clear differentiation of performance in rewards and recognition
**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
Bachelors degree and 10 years of progressive experience in HR including supporting supply chain organization OR Advanced degree and 8 years of progressive business management experience, with exposure to high performing organizations, including best practices in HR
7 years of managerial experience,
**Nice to Have:**
Masters degree in Business, I/O Psychology or Human Resources
Successful track record as an HR business partner in a best-in-class supply chain organization
Previous HR leadership roles in a high-growth, fast-paced business
Experience in organizational transformation HR leadership role
Experience in HR strategy development and execution
Experience in a global, matrix management structure
Experience in a medical device or related healthcare industry
Excellent oral and written communication skills
HRIS (WorkDay, PeopleSoft preferred), database, spreadsheet, presentation and word processing software
