The Recruiting Manager will be responsible managing the staff recruiting processes for all positions across Ice Miller markets, with the exception of attorneys. This position will also be responsible for managing the Firm’s staff internship programs and implementing diversity & inclusion initiatives as they relate to recruiting. The employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive materials, and maintain strict confidentiality due to the nature of the position.
Essential Duties:
•Manage the daily recruiting operations and recruit for all Ice Miller markets, with the exception of attorney positions
•Liaise with hiring managers regarding position requirements and recruiting strategy
•Liaise with department leads and CHRO regarding staffing plans
•Manage recruiting data and report back trends in retention, turnover, and market demand
•Liaise with Director of Benefits to educate candidates on Firm benefit offerings
•Liaise with the Recruiting Assistant to confirm candidate start dates and onboarding schedules have been confirmed
•Propose compensation for new hires based on Firm and candidate data and liaise with CHRO regarding offer negotiations and revisions
•Manage internal transfer and promotion offers and ensure information is communicated across departments as needed
•Manage the Firm’s Predictive Index recruiting tool and consult with hiring managers to provide potential interview questions
•Manage agency relationships, contracts, and serve as the liaison between the agency and hiring managers
•Manage recruiting projects, including but not limited to training programs and materials, tracking, process improvement, annual updates and review of best practices, etc.
•Stay up to date on recruiting best practices and market trends for process improvement and to inform hiring managers
•Promote a diverse and inclusive recruiting process to ensure all candidates have a positive experience that aligns with Firm values
•Develop and manage relationships with Universities and organizations to develop pipelines for students and alumni
•Participate in job fairs to develop relationships with the community and build a pipeline for a diverse pool of candidates
Minimum Requirements:
•Bachelor's Degree required
•3-5 years’ experience independently managing daily recruiting processes required
•Demonstrated experience successfully managing hiring manager and agency relationships
•Knowledgeable of recruiting best practices and seeks out opportunities for continuous improvement
•Ability to prioritize multiple objectives and communicate changes in deliverables
•Ability to independently manage the daily recruiting functions, including related projects, training, and organization with little supervision or guidance
•Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with a diverse group of people
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a drive to connect with colleagues and clients to understand department and position requirements
•Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity as appropriate to each situation and demonstrate a high degree of diplomacy
•Ability to organize and prioritize work and handle multiple projects simultaneously with little direction
•Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
•Ability to complete all essential job duties
