Profile

We are seeking a Field Technician I for a very important client.

General Summary Assists in the installation, implementation, and upgrades of internal systems. May maintain a tracking system for usage evaluation. Maintains an inventory of all equipment, hardware, software and supplies. Troubleshoots, maintains, and monitors, external and internal hard drives, printers, plotters and scanners. The responsibilities of this role include:
? Working under close supervision.
? Taking responsibility for own work and making decisions with limited impact; impact of decisions is readily apparent; errors made typically only impact timeline (i.e., require additional time to correct).
? Using verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information about day-to-day activities to others who are fully knowledgeable in the subject area.
? Completing tasks that require multiple steps that must be performed in a specific order, using directions or manuals that accurately document the steps necessary to perform the tasks.
? Using limited problem solving, generally in the nature of troubleshooting simple processes or technology.
? Exercising some creativity may be required to troubleshoot technical problems or deal with novel circumstances.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
? Discusses basic issues with team members on a regular basis to maintain open communication.
? Communicates with project lead via email and direct conversation to provide project status updates.
? Presents basic system solution or other technical information to project team with assistance from more senior personnel.
? Contributes to technical conversations within project team.
? Escalates technical issues to an appropriate party (e.g., project lead, colleagues
? Networks with colleagues within project team to gain insight, ideas, and connections.
? Appreciates the contributions made by individuals of varying backgrounds, locations, and cultures.
? Collaborates with individuals inside own team and with other teams to complete the team's work.
? Completes routine technical tasks assigned by more senior personnel.
? Adapts to minor changes and setbacks in order to manage pressure and meet deadlines.
? Manages minor distractions, prioritizes tasks, and deals with setbacks in a timely manner with assistance from more senior personnel.
? Diagnoses and fixes hardware-related computer problems using standardized departmental procedures by checking all computer cabling connections, testing connections to all periphery equipment, reloading or re-booting programs and machines as needed, and/or switching out hardware or computer parts to troubleshoot equipment under direct supervision.
? Seeks out learning opportunities and feedback to increase own knowledge and skill using internal training resources.
? Performs data transfers from one computer to another for replacement or upgrade, and ensures the integrity of all data transfers.
? Executes individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for small projects.

? IT Knowledge - Basic understanding of IT-related content knowledge to carry out work tasks.
? IT Support - The ability to receive various computer related requests from end-users and operate the basic features of IT support software and tools to effectively provide IT services. This also includes the ability to respond with urgency to requests.
? Taking Initiative - The ability to attack work activities with drive and energy, understand the impact of work on key metrics, and make decisions that are in the company's best interest. This includes not being afraid to initiate action before all the facts are known, and driving value-added work tasks to completion.

Minimum Qualifications
? High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree in IT-relevant field.
? 1 years experience with more than one operating system such as Linux, Mac OSX, Windows
? 6 months experience in IT or related area.
? 6 months experience in operating system or software application troubleshooting (e.g., root cause analysis, debugging).
? MCP Certification.

Physical Requirements
? Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to 2 miles.
? Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 40 lbs.
? Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
? Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
? Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
Driver clearance will be required for this role. This role is onsite critical
