Job Background:
The Human Resources Partner is responsible for providing consistent, expert advice and support to line managers and advising and/or leading on complex people management case work.
Hours of Work:
Monday – Friday with a requirement to work outside office hours when necessary to meet the demands of the role.
37 working hours per week (42 hours gross)
Salary:
GBP32,328 – GBP33,459 (under review)
Main Activities:
The main duties and responsibilities associated with the role include the following:
Working in collaboration with line managers on individual cases, for example, attendance and performance management, resourcing, disciplinary investigations, grievances, employee relations matters.
Guiding and coaching line managers to enhance their people management skills that will enable them to confidently deal with more complex matters over time.
Ensuring that all Human Resources policies, procedures and working practices are adhered to, whilst identifying potential areas for further development.
Attending and providing Human Resources updates at local management meetings and corporate decision–making panels.
Supporting other Human Resources colleagues on more complex or wide–ranging cases and change projects.
Providing documentation, witness evidence and reviewing proposed submissions in defence of Industrial Tribunal claims.
Overseeing the implementation of resourcing solutions that meet business need and operational priorities.
Preparing relevant and accurate Human Resources analytical data to support evidence–based decision–making.
Contributing positively to departmental objectives outlined in the People Strategy.
Embedding the Human Resources Operating Model across the organisation through high quality service delivery.
Providing support and guidance to Human Resources teams; inspiring them to develop their capability and optimise performance.
Maintaining and updating professional knowledge of own training and development needs, updating practices and attending relevant training courses.

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant area.
Associate Member (or above) of Chartered Institute of Professional Development by date of appointment.
Essential Skills and Experience
Minimum of one years' experience in a generalist Human Resources role.
Professional credibility in providing advice and guidance on a wide range of Human Resources issues.
Strong interpersonal skills gained through supporting line managers with complex people management needs.
Ability to work under pressure in managing concurrent Human Resources demands.
Essential Other
Applicants must have a valid driving licence and a car available for official business use, or access to a form of personal transport that will enable you to meet the requirements of the post in full.
IT literate specifically in the use of the Microsoft Office suite (including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Outlook).
