This position supports the general accounting mission of the department through the accurate and timely processing of the Medical Center's payroll-related disbursement to include employee salaries, all deductions, and payroll-related taxes. Additionally, the position serves as a resource for employer and employee payroll-related information requests and is responsible for the accurate maintenance of all general ledger accounts related to payroll transactions.','!*!
High school diploma or GED.
This position requires knowledge of financial accounting theory, a thorough understanding of payroll procedures and tax laws and regulations at federal, state and local levels.
Also requires strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills, as well as computer literacy with specific knowledge of spreadsheet applications.
