Responsibilities:
Assists in the administration of employee benefit plans for all locations such as health, dental, vision, FSA, basic and supplemental life insurance, STD, LTD, 401(k) and pension plans
Provides customer service support related to all plans and troubleshoots questions from all locations
Maintains all benefits systems and databases
Audits and processes monthly insurance bills
Help vendor administer Federal COBRA
Runs the 401(k) Audit and the Compensation Committee meetings along with 401(k) broker
Interfaces with vendors and is proficient with vendor websites and processes
Helps develop, assist, and maintain communication tools to enhance understanding of the company benefits package for employees
Trains all new hires on employee benefit package
Will manage and run Open Enrollment for the company working with benefit brokers and senior HR management
Lead management of all administrative tasks for implementations, renewals, and ongoing administration
Review documentation of procedures and identify process improvements
Develop and implement best practices
Assists in various Benefits projects and responsibilities as they arise
Assists in the administration of Worker’s Compensation
Manages the Leave of Absence process, filings, tracking, etc.
Requirements:
3 years’ experience in Benefits Administration.
Deep knowledge of Federal laws that govern employee benefit programs and Leave Laws including but not limited to: HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA
Bachelors degree and/or related experience in HR field
Demonstrated ability to provide superior Customer Service
Ability to run reports out of HRIS for reconciliation or audit purposes
Familiarity with ADP and Benetrac a plus
Strong organizational, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
Logical problem solver with excellent follow through and detail orientation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of the organization
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of skill and accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Experience in preparing Excel spreadsheets and working with existing spreadsheets; comfortable with mail merge in Word.
Must be able to work overtime during peak periods
