This is an exciting and fulfilling opportunity with **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s Payroll Team. We are seeking highly motivated individuals to perform the functions of a Payroll Specialist
, whom will have the responsibility to handle the processing weekly payroll in conformance with established payroll procedures, and assembles data from employee records and administers payroll, including: tax, vacations, direct deposit setup, salary changes and deductions. It is essential that the person in this position have basic payroll knowledge and be able to answer questions regarding the taxability of wages (cafeteria pre-tax wages, federal taxes, FICA rates and wage base) and be able to determine the deductions taken.
What will you do as a Payroll Specialist?
May perform complete payroll process for business unit, entity or unassigned field payrolls and performs mathematical calculations for withholdings and deductions, vacation, sick leave, retroactive pay, overtime, salary changes, etc.
Audits preparation of W4 forms and employee termination data to assure compliance with Company, state and federal requirements.
Process W4s, ESR personnel updates, corrections and special payments.
May perform payroll edits to release field timecards to payroll system.
May administer and maintain direct deposits.
Completes special projects and performs other related duties as required.
May perform reconciliation between customer systems and PC Payroll.
May perform data entry of time and exceptions in customer systems.
Other duties as assigned.
What will you need?
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Highschool Diploma plus 2-4 year related Payroll Processing experience.
Full knowledge of all Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint). Preferably Advance Excel with VLookups and Pivot Table skill set.
Payroll/ERP Systems experience: Oracle or similar experience, such as: SAP, ADP WorkForce Now, Workday or Ceridian Day Force.
Familiar with using ADP Smart Compliance.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
What is an added plus?
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related discipline.
Certified Payroll Professional or Fundamental Payroll certification desirable.
Knowledge of payroll taxes.
Excellent organization and communication skills.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
General knowledge of, or experience working in, the Industrial Construction industry.
What you can expect the physical demands to be?
Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. Often required to use close vision of 20 inches or less, and occasionally distance vision of 20 feet or more. Will be required to view a computer monitor/multiple screens for long periods of time with breaks in-between. May be required to lift, carry and move objects safely.
What will the work environment be like?
Work will be in a professional/buttoned up corporate office environment operating and functioning at a fast pace. Working out of a contemporary office spaces with an open layout. Our corporate campus includes an on-site caf with various daily breakfast, lunch and snack-time selections, a sizeable fitness center equipped with various state of the art, work out equipment & weights, outdoor walking/jogging-path, herb garden, basketball half-court, sand-volley ball court, soccer field, as well as a clinic with a certified nurse practitioner. Office noise will be low and generally consist of neighbors' phone-calls, conversations and/or laughter. You can expect people to treat you with friendliness and respect throughout the Zachry campus.
