The Recruiting Associate is responsible for building and maintaining effective relationships to identify and fill open driver positions for Tyson Foods Long Haul Transportation group. This position calls for a strong base knowledge of full life cycle CDL Class A driver recruiting, with a comprehensive approach to talent acquisition that encompasses every stage of the hiring process, from the initial job requisition and hiring manager intake, all the way through to onboarding.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Representing the company at recruitment events. Management and ownership of the recruiting process from candidate sourcing through identification, recruiting, selection, managing the electronic application from initial entry to either approval or rejection, offer presentation, travel arrangements and close. Collaborating with managers to identify and source qualified candidates using sourced leads and sales techniques to attract Class A CDL drivers to the organization such as job boards, search engines, niche sites, LinkedIn and other social media, passive lead generation, referrals, etc. Maintains current applicant tracking documentation through each phase of the recruitment process and within OFCCP compliance. Ensure candidates are in compliance with D.O.T. and company minimum qualification standards. Develop and maintain effective relationships with Truck Driving Schools to maintain an on-going relationship to create a pipeline of talent for the organization. Interacts and consults independently with Operations and Risk Management.
Requirements:
Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Experience: 1 years recruiting, sourcing, sales, or logistics experience
Computer Skills: Strong computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Applicant Tracking Systems, data mining techniques, and strong scouring capabilities preferred
Communication Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills, Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills to effectively communicate in a variety of settings across all organizational levels
Special Skills: Ability to multi-task; detail oriented; motivated; self-starter; determination to improve work processes and results; ability to be effective with limited resources.
Supervisory: N/A
Travel: Up to 2 trips per year
