SUMMARY: As a key member of the Human Resources Team and reporting to the Sr. Manager Talent Optimization, this position will play a key role in Cobb’s efforts to recruit top talent to the organization.
Essential Duties:
Own full life cycle recruiting responsibilities for Management Support hourly positions and support the Talent Acquisition Specialist by assisting with salaried positions. Typical workload is 15-30 requisitions at any given time.
Partner with hiring managers and HR business partners to identify talent gaps and build appropriate talent plans. Staffing takes place across a variety of job functions—R&D, operations, shared services, etc.
As necessary engage in sourcing activities that lead to the identification of qualified candidates—internet sourcing, social recruiting, internal sourcing, employee referrals, etc. in support of the Talent Acquisition Specialist.
Interpret and administer policies in a fair and consistent manner.
Champion the organization’s efforts related to diversity, inclusion, and equity by identifying diverse talent pools and bringing the most-qualified candidates forward for consideration.
Screen candidates for minimum qualifications, skill match, and motivational fit.
Coordinate and oversee the interview process. Train hiring managers on interviewing and selection best practices and prepare candidates so they present themselves well and have an enjoyable experience.
Work with HR business partners to prepare and extend job offers that meet company guidelines and candidate expectations. Negotiate with candidates in good faith in order to close offers.
Coordinate pre-hire and initial onboarding activities for selected candidates.
Support efforts related to college recruiting, to include on-campus recruiting and the design and management of a robust intern program.
Participate in the development and day-to-day execution of Cobb’s employer branding strategy.
Serve as an active voice for the company through its social media channels—Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.
Execute administrative tasks and be responsible for the SAP Purchase Order system including processing invoices, creating Purchase Orders and other related duties.
Must be willing to work flexible hours.
Other duties as required in support of the overall HR department mission.
Demonstrate creativity, flexibility, and a can-do attitude in all areas of responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education : Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management or a related field is preferred.
Experience : 1 years of talent acquisition is required. Experience in agriculture or food production is preferred.
Computer Skills: Must be proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word). Experience with advanced learning technologies is preferred.
Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate to all levels of the organization, from senior leaders to hourly Team Members.
Other Skills: Emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, collaboration, customer service, problem solving, project management, time management and organization, ethics and integrity, knowledge of laws and regulations that impact talent acquisition.
Biosecurity: When visiting biosecure jobsites and environments showering before entering the facilities is required. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsites except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species, chickens, ducks and birds. The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times.
Physical Requirements: Must use safe lifting techniques. While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk or hear. The Team Member must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment: Safety goggles, rubber boots, gloves and earplugs will be used as needed.
