POSITION PROFILE
The Director HRBP is a key strategic position that requires a senior leader with passion for delivering on the commitment to excellence and measurable business impact. This leader will set the strategy with senior leadership and plan, direct, and implement the human resources strategy, key priorities, guidelines, and procedures that will support the core functions of the business. This top leader will partner closely with the broader global HR organization across MillerKnoll. Key leadership competencies for the role will be the ability to connect, engage, and relate to people at all levels of the organization and manage strategic and tactical deliverables.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with senior leadership within Operations to align the HR strategy and priorities to the strategic direction within the Operations function
Serves in a strategic, consultative, coaching, and decision-making role to successfully achieve business goals in a changing, competitive environment
Lead a team of HR professionals supporting multiple sites across the region
Provide leadership to HR team to strategically develop and ensure implementation of human resources / business priorities, policies, and practices.
Provides coaching and development to professional HR team (Consultants and others).
Design leadership development plans
Drive innovation across the HR function and be informed as a senior HR leader on trends regarding the future of work, employee tools and benefits to make us an employer of choice
Partner to drive the diversity and inclusion strategy
Support leadership to develop the culture and drive employee engagement by optimizing our employee engagement participation and feedback systems
Coach and consult with senior leaders on HR-related issues, while remaining fair as an employee advocate
Create measures and metrics which demonstrate the Return on Investment for HR priorities
Support the due diligence and integration of acquisitions
Required Skills
Strong global HRBP background with broad knowledge of employment, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, and training and development
Significant experience leading and building high-performing teams and relationships
A proven track record of successfully scaling a company's core culture and values through rapid growth
Track record of, and passion for, being a collaborative team player with excellent leadership, management, interpersonal, and organizational skills who can empathetically engage with employees across all levels
Superior business acumen and change management skills
Proven leadership and executive-level experience in strategic planning, solution- development, clear judgment and decision making, and complex problem solving
A track record of improving retention within a large organization
Ability to demonstrate a growth mindset and highly skilled with ambiguity
Able to relate to people at all levels of the organization
Able to think strategically and act tactically
Ability to influence various stakeholders across the enterprise
Required Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
Master's Degree preferred.
10 years of professional experience in HRBP related disciplines, including but not limited to experience and understanding of strategy development and execution, senior level coaching, talent management, performance management, leadership development and change management.
5 years management or leadership experience partnering with executive teams.
