Position Description:
Position Purpose:

Design Center (HDDC) HR Generalist leads the implementation of HR plans and programs to support the assigned location(s) in driving their business results, customer service, and alignment with company values. The incumbent may perform duties in any of the various functional areas: HR, Recruiting/Staffing, Performance Management, Training, Compensation/Benefits, Organizational Development, and Associate Relations as well as perform project work as necessary.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
30% - Coaches business on a variety of HR resources and tools; Counsels and coaches leaders on business decisions related to the organization, leadership and associate effectiveness/engagement; Coordinates with talent acquisition team to drive and monitor recruiting process; Assists with talent management activities for assigned locations (e.g., performance management, talent review, rewards, and associate development)
60% - Utilizes data and feedback from assigned locations to identify opportunities/trends to drive associate engagement (e.g., turnover) and proposes action plans; Resolves general associate relations issues including conducting employee relations investigations and fact finding; Supports consistency in practice of SOP and employment law; Ensures the most effective utilization of HR practices across assigned location(s); Serves as champion of company culture/values that impact the work environment; Interpret and provide guidance on corporate policy
10% - Leads various HR related projects as necessary, including rolling out company-wide initiatives and conducting training classes on HR topics; Assist management with HRIS program related training and transaction support

This position reports to HR Manager or Senior Manager

Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes or odors.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Travel between locations is required.
