We identify and develop recording artists and songwriters, and we produce, distribute and promote the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful music to delight and entertain fans around the world.How we LEAD:As the Manager, US Compensation, you will be responsible for the design, communication, and management of all aspects of the US salary and short-term incentive programs. You will report to the Vice President, Executive and US Compensation and, as part of the global Total Reward group, you and the team will play an active role in ensuring consistencies within the UMG compensation practices in the US and worldwide. You will partner with US People, Inclusion and Culture (“PIC”) Business Partners, the Centers of Excellence (i.e., People Operations and Systems, Talent and L&OD) and counterparts in finance, legal, tax and external providers.How you'll CREATE:Responsible for the evaluation, development, implementation and management of all U.S. salary and annual incentive compensation policies, structures and programs that support the organization’s business strategyMaintain career job architecture structure and conduct regular audits to ensure all jobs are appropriately aligned in the structureConduct job analysis, internal benchmark reviews, market price jobs and FLSA assessmentsManage the annual US compensation cycle process – benchmarking, structure design, base pay increases, annual bonus payments and long-term incentive awardsOversee the participation in US salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achievedPartner with PIC Business Partners to provide advice and analysis for compensation challenges, including but not limited to talent retention, internal comparison, market competitiveness, pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluationsProvide effective robust analytics and strategic support to PIC Business Partner and the businessBuild and deliver compensation-related training and education materials to your client teamsWork with the talent acquisition team and HR Partners to deliver new hire offer package consultation to ensure alignment to market and internal peersMonitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommends changes that are consistent with compensation trends in the US and globallyDesign creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs and incentive plansAssist in design, implementation and management of sales incentives plansEnsure compliance with federal, state and local compensation laws and regulationsThorough understanding of base salary and short-term incentive plans, concepts and designsKnowledge of all federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements related to US compensation standards and principalsHeavily seasoned “power-user” with regard to Excel and PowerPoint preferredHighly effective data management skills with a commitment to accuracy and detailsWorkday Core Compensation and Workday Advanced Compensation software experienceBring your VIBE:Highly collaborative with an ability to understand and relate to multiple stakeholders from various disciplines and countries/regions (e.g., finance, legal, operations)Strong leadership and project management skillsExcellent time management skills and ability to plan and set prioritiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to cope with shifting/multiple priorities and deadlinesDemonstrate strong initiative and exercise good judgment and resourcefulnessComputer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft Office products5 compensation years of experience in-house or advising compensation role, preferably in the entertainment industry (or creative industry)Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field2 years of related experience in an HR leadership roleSHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credentials certification preferredPerks Playlist:Competitive Compensation Package including Salary, Benefits and Generous 401k Savings PlanPaid Time Off – Paid Holidays, “Winter Break”, Wellness FridaysStudent Loan Repayment AssistanceEmployee Developmental SupportAnnual Gym Reimbursement Package**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is an Equal Opportunity EmployerAll UMG employees are currently required to be fully vaccinated, and boosted, against COVID-19 before entering any Company offices unless they have been approved for an exemption or unless prohibited by applicable law.Disclaimer: This job description only provides an overview of job responsibilities that are subject to change.
