We are seeking a Sr. Scientist for a very important client.
Integral member of the Ensure Nutrition team. Scientist will responsible for leading specific Ensure initiatives across global portfolio and will strategically and clinically execute all tasks with best in class science. Scientist will lead efforts to build a competitive, commercially driven and science-based Ensure ANPD Pipeline.
Day to day activities may include but are not limited to the following:
Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME): provide nutrition and clinical science expertise to translate complex science and research into compelling product claims and scientific messaging; communicate the science and product benefits to both internal and external audiences of varying knowledge levels; remain current in standards of nutrition care and scientific literature; represent Nutrition Science in cross-functional initiatives and programs; product claims development and substantiation. Ability to author and deliver peer-reviewed abstracts, posters, publications in support of product science, clinicals, innovation. Work with ANHI and PA to promote publications and ?new scientific news? for AN.
Establish and maintain internal stakeholder relationships (e.g., platform scientists, product development, commercial (marketing and sales, sales training), public affairs, regulatory), and external stakeholders (e.g., key opinion leaders, customers and consumers) innovate and support the nutrition product portfolio and deliver against business strategies
Innovation and evidence generation: Actively engage in product ideation and innovation to build product pipeline; assess new ingredients and technologies; develop and drive clinical research strategy that generates new evidence for new claims, messaging, and publications; engage in clinical research, secondary data analytics.
? Proactively explore novel and existing science to identify ingredients, nutrition profiles, existing gaps, and platforms of interest to support consumer and HCP needs/wants. Stay abreast of market trends and competitive landscape for potential innovations. Work alongside commercial and R&D colleagues to bring innovation concepts and products to life.
Nutrition Communications & Brand Support: Prepare and deliver nutrition science-based content and presentations to global and affiliate field sales force, sales training, advisory boards, customers, consumers and external key opinion leaders to support the global business strategy.
Develop and review AN product and science educational materials (e.g., product monographs, training materials, medical justifications, FAQ documents, objection handlers, white papers, scientific backgrounders, as well as manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.)
? Bring scientific expertise and a critical eye to development/review of new/existing Ensure product documents throughout product launch process (nutrition profile, claims, labels, other duties as assigned in SOP), associated promotional materials
? Throughout the PIER process, conduct product scientific rationale, develop market-driven, science-based, innovative/ownable/unique claims and provide substantiation. Review labels and all promotional material in support of key initiatives and launches. Work alongside commercial colleagues to draft and substantiate science-based messaging. Work with commercial and public affairs colleagues to create and execute science stories and related educational materials and sales aids in support of launches and commercial programming.
Cross-functional partnership: Serve SME and nutrition science lead on cross-functional teams, including new product development teams, process improvement, regulatory and affiliate launch teams, external programs and collaborations.
Competitive surveillance: maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitors? products, ingredients, features, and benefits; claims; educational events; understand implications of competitor activities to the company?s Nutrition.
External Engagement and Media Responsibilities: Represent the company?s Nutrition at key conferences or meetings to engage KOLs and actively participate in AN-sponsored events and activities, e.g., Strength Ambassador Program. Support Global PA efforts in support of launches, science storytelling, conferences & symposia. Support to include media-ready responses via email/verbal/video platforms
Requirement:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Strong collaborative, project leadership, research, publication/scientific writing skills, excellent oral and written skills required
Proven ability to work independently, self-starter, collaborator with global teams and colleagues
Ability to work constructively, decisively and collegially with external and internal customers, consumers and key opinion leaders
Minimum of 5 years clinical, industry, and/or academic experience that blends science and business preferred
