Director of HR - Diversity Equity amp Inclusion

Profile

Saint Michael’s College is seeking a dynamic and culturally responsive Human Resources professional with significant experience incorporating and drawing upon DEI principles and frameworks to be a co-director of the Human Resources department. This person will assist with developing and implementing strategic initiatives around employment with diversity, equity and inclusion at the forefront. This includes recruiting and retention, employee relations, labor relations, and diversity, equity and inclusion training for staff and faculty as it relates to all areas of employment.
The successful candidate will have worked as a professional in the Human Resources field for at least eight to ten years with hands on experience participating in, implementing and/or overseeing DEI programs and initiatives. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Having designed and delivered cultural competency/responsiveness, implicit bias, leadership and employment training programs is a significant plus. This is a full-time, year-round position that reports to the Vice President for Finance and will have a dotted line to the Vice President for DEI once this position is filled.
