Duties
Mid sized international
law firm is hiring an HR Benefits assistant to work out of their offices
head quartered in New York City. The position will hold the responsibility
of administering key processes in the areas of benefits and wellness as
well as provide support to the Human Resources department. Ideal
applicants will be highly skilled in customer service, have strong administrative
and data management skills, and worked in a Human Resources capacity for
at least 3 years (preferably within a law firm ). This is an outstanding

Provides direct support to Director
of Human Resources, Benefits Manager, and Employee Relations Manager, serving
as the main contact for all employee relations issues and benefits inquires
Ensures that all employee benefit
information is accurate and up-to date with HRIS and process all employee
benefit changes
Assists with new hire orientations
including review of firm policies, administration of annual benefits open
enrollment, timekeeping requirements, health and wellness programs and
completion of required forms
Assists staff in the administration
of leaves of absence, disability, Workers' Compensation, ADA, COBRA, FSA
and FMLA
Conducts ongoing audits and
ensures quality control of all benefits related information
Assists with investigating billing
and eligibility claims; reconciles benefits related bills and invoices;
assists with benefit related filing with all firm departments; and ensures
office operations are efficient
Assists with wellness programs,
social functions and other departmental sponsored activities
Required
3 years of Human Resources
experience with exposure to benefits administration
Strong knowledge of Human Resources
related practices and procedures
Excellent communication skills
with the ability to effectively explain and relay employee information
Strong analytical and problem
solving skills
Tech-savvy with a demonstrated
proficiency utilizing HRIS systems, MS Word, MS Power Point and MS Excel
Associate's degree or higher
