Nossaman is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to join its firm wide management team. The position leads the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department, including staff recruiting, performance management, payroll administration, reporting and compliance, policies and procedures, and HR software/database management. The Human Resources Director reports to the Firm's Chief Human Resources Officer and will be located in the Los Angeles office.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations and workflow for the department including the supervision of team members.
Lead and administer various human resource functions and programs relating to staff recruitment, compensation, benefits, performance management, health and safety, and learning and development.
Lead firm-wide staff recruiting, hiring and onboarding.
Collaborate with hiring leadership to understand and execute the goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting and retention for various business departments.
Lead and facilitate the staff annual performance evaluation process.
Oversee the processing of Firm’s payroll.
Research and analyze organizational trends using data gathered from internal systems and recommend actions in support of the Firm’s goals.
Monitor and ensure the Firm’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review and recommend policies and practices to maintain compliance. Serve as Firm’s point of contact for federal, state and local compliance filings (EEO-1, ACA, etc.).
Respond to routine federal and state inquiries including unemployment claims, benefit audits, etc.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, staff management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
Serve as lead administrator of the Firm’s performance management and applicant tracking system (viDesktop).
Lead administrator for HRIS and document management programs.
Perform other duties as needed to support the Firm’s goals.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficiency with, or the ability to quickly learn, the organizations HRIS and staff management systems.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
At least five to seven years of human resource management experience required.
Experience with viDesktop and iManage software highly preferred.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
