The Human Resources Director, Cell Therapy Development & Operations (CTDO) has responsibility over several key Development functions and acts as the Human Resources Director onsite for Seattle office, as well as integration of HR policies and strategies across CTDO. The current scope includes the US-based West and East sites responsibility. This leader collaborates with the HR Leads across GPS and CDTO.
Position Responsibilities
Provides strategic HR Business Partner expertise to the Global Development leadership teams & their respective teams in order to drive business performance and foster cooperation across the enterprise.
Ensures the implementation and success of the People Strategy and the full implementation of the HR Operating Model.
Strategic and Consultative, and drives execution excellence through the People Services team
Leverages business strategy, people strategy, external best practices and organizational insights to deliver bold and innovative organizational and talent solutions.
Contributes actively to Global Development / CTDO talent plan with an enterprise lens.
Applies “systems thinking” and leads change for effectiveness of organization performance through the use of metrics and analytics in a way that drives business performance.
Applies judgment to data insights and trends to support business talent and organization decisions that drives organizational effectiveness and innovative and robust workforce planning , engagement strategies, and succession management
Collaborates across the HR OP Model (COE’s, People Services) to articulate business needs and partners in delivering solutions in ways that bring value across the enterprise; Accountable for the full implementation and stabilization of the HR Operating Model for Seattle site and Golbal Development teams, which includes establishing priorities with People Service and CoE partners as well as leading the change with the sites leadership.
In charge of driving the plants WFP and organization efficiencies, including major shift in development processes in line with CTDO/GPS network strategy. Defines and leads change management efforts to ensure delivery of organizational solutions, programs and deliverables
Takes a leadership role in creating a respectful and inclusive work environment while role-modeling the BMS culture and fostering cultural diversity.
Represents BMS with external environment and together with Talent Acquisition, establish a proper branding strategy with key external stakeholder’s incl. schools, colleges and local communities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree/Certification/Licensure
College/University BA/BS Degree, Advanced Degree preferred
Experience – Responsibility and minimum number of years
10 years of HR experience preferably in pharmaceutical or life sciences environment
Competencies – Knowledge, Skills Abilities
Extensive experience as an HR trusted business partner with significant leadership skills and experience building and leading global, diverse teams of HR professionals.
Proven success in working effectively at senior management levels to impact and influence decision making
Experience working with global matrix teams
Proven application in leveraging business acumen and external insights to improve business and talent outcomes
Experience in leading change management efforts including defining change and communication plans
Experience in the use of metrics and analytics in a way that drives business performance
Demonstrated experience in applying workforce planning knowledge, engagement strategies, and succession management
Proven experience in working effectively within a matrixed environment and building alignment in a cross functional and team environment
Knowledge of external trends and factors that influence human behaviors and decision-making at the individual, group, and organizational level
