Responsibilities:
Responsible for Human Resource policy and procedures, and assuring they are compliant according to law (both state and federal). Assuring employee handbook is current and legal as is personnel files.
Manage and negotiate medical plan and worker’s compensation renewals.
Responsible for running payroll, the relationship with the payroll provider and all information provided to them, the proper handling of tax levy and garnishments, address changes, verification of tax compliance, and issuance of accurate W2s.
Responsible for entering payroll into human capital management package and assuring accurate accounting for all aspects of payroll, including record-keeping within accounting software.
Responsible for coordinating and/or delegating within department recruiting and placement of new employees. Perform interviews with all candidates regardless of possible position as needed. Provide letters to all incoming resumes, and all interviewees as to position status.
Provide employee contracts and offer letters. Provide employment verification including background screening, motor vehicle verifications, eVerify compliance.
