Job Details:
SUMMARY: The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing superior customer service through expanded administrative support. Performing a variety of administrative duties including but not limited to: typing correspondence memos and other documents; handling confidential material; data entry; answering a multiple-line telephone and handling routine inquiries or requests directing calls or taking messages; greeting and directing visitors; sorting and distributing mail and faxes; preparing UPS and Federal Express shipments; photocopying; maintaining general and confidential files; compiling data and generating reports; scheduling meetings and preparing minutes; coordinating travel reservations and training; working with expense reports; ordering supplies; and any other duties or special projects as assigned. The HR coordinator is responsible for building and maintaining effective relationships throughout the organization. This position calls for a strong base knowledge of HR. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: Representing the company at outside events and ownership of the community liaison role. As a community liaison you will act as liaison between the community and the Dunes campus representing the company in a positive manner with community leaders. Develop and maintain effective relationships with professional organizations to maintain an on-going relationship to create a positive image of Tyson Fresh Meats for the organization internal business leaders HR business partners and other HR professionals. Difficulty Of Duties: Work activities are variable and require judgment to complete tasks independently such as setting priorities evaluating results and coordinating with others. Assignments are defined and the approach to be taken is usually determined in coordination with others. Provide meaningful feedback to assist the HR function and responsibilities. Interacts and consults independently with senior management
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience preferred.
Experience: 3 plus years HR experience providing administrative support preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel Word and PowerPoint.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal written communication interpersonal skills. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. Bi-lingual is a plus.
Special Skills: Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing, proofing and analyzing materials. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. Maintain confidentiality of personnel and payroll information. Good attendance and a winning positive attitude required.
