Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, Global Benefits & Wellness, the Sr. Specialist will be responsible for supporting the development, compliance, and day to day administration of Under Armour’s 401(k) and Deferred Compensation plans. The Sr. Specialist will also collaborate with HR partners to drive education and enrollment initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Serves as the primary contact for 401(k) teammate needs.
Collaborates with third-party service providers to ensure accurate daily administration, recordkeeping, and reporting of plan information.
Maintains data integrity for retirement benefit plans and works closely with HRIS, Payroll, and Finance departments to ensure accuracy and to support retirement related business needs.
Coordinates and conducts retirement presentations and financial wellness offerings to employees and management.
Creates accurate written and verbal communications to employees and other involved parties-in-interest (i.e., management, payroll, HR, legal, finance, accounting, tax, third-party service providers).
Maintains current internal web sites and monitors service provider web sites to ensure accuracy of data and content.
Remains current on legislative and technical requirements.
Monitors the effectiveness of existing group retirement benefit plans through critical evaluation of data trend analysis as well as issue identification and resolution.
Assists in streamlining processes for efficient, cost-effective delivery of employee retirement benefits. Helps to identify plan design and process improvement opportunities.
Coordinates plan amendments, implementations and changes with stakeholders, and service providers.
Monitors plan audits and prepares annual returns and other legally required government compliance filings and reports (SPD, SMM, SAR, etc.). Determines HCEs and reviews ADP/ACP test results.
Reviews and approves payroll funding reconciliations and ACH/wire transmittals for weekly payroll deductions.
Reviews and approves loan delinquency reporting, small balance automatic distribution reporting and other reporting as provided by third-party service providers.
Conducts enrollments for Deferred Compensation Plan.
Performs additional duties, tasks or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Must have intermediate knowledge of ERISA and IRS/DOL regulations.
Must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as strong attention to detail.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision to meet tight deadlines and ability to prioritize.
Strong interpersonal, communication, consultative and relationship building skills in order to initiate and develop productive working partnerships with leadership and teammates in a matrix organization.
Strong Excel skills including, but not limited to, ability to perform Vlookup and Pivot Tables, in order to develop and maintain spreadsheets and perform data analysis.
Education And / Or Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred
Minimum of 5 years of 401(k) administration experience.
Other Requirements
Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Global Headquarters in Baltimore, MD.
Return To Work Designation: 2 days a week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.
