HR Specialist (Temporary Part-Time Role)

The Zuora HR team is looking for a temporary HR Specialist. The position is temporary part-time position (25-30 hours per week)
that will provide dedicated support to our current HR Operations and Immigration workload. We’re looking for an HR professional with 3-4 years of experience to support our HR Team within our Redwood City office. The ideal candidate will have HR experience in a fast-paced environment. As an HR Specialist, you're able to work quickly and efficiently, multi-task, manage deadlines effectively, and work with confidential information professionally and discreetly.
Responsibilities
Act as the main point of contact for visa/immigration information for internal partners and external candidates
Support HR Manager and Immigration Counsel in partnering with foreign national employees, Recruiters, Hiring managers, HR Business Partners with regard to all U.S. Immigration matters
Liaise between Immigration Counsel and internal teams on case status updates; handle critical issues appropriately
Act as primary internal resource for Recruiters on visa candidate assessment process and immigration matters
Support the employees with business travel visa requests and visa related employment verification letters
Provide excellent customer service and act as point of contact for employees who have routine questions regarding HR Immigration policies, programs, and procedures.
Process a variety of visa employment-related changes within HRIS systems, including employee status changes, employee information, and other confidential employee data
Deliver support to business partners, recruiting team members, and individual employees
Maintain an understanding of policies, procedures, and regulations relevant to Human Resources.
Own and assist with various HR projects working in collaboration with the HR team and others when needed
Work on additional projects and tasks
Requirements
3 years of experience in Global Mobility working with US employment-based immigration processes required. Experience reviewing case facts and determining filings and US visa types.
3 years of experience in Human Resources required
In-house industry experience with immigration and mobility programming.
Must have demonstrated knowledge of U.S. Immigration rules regarding employment visas.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Immigration, or directly-related field required
Analytical, organizational, and conflict resolution skills with strong interpersonal and problem-resolution skills needed
Exceptional attention to detail and follow-up skills due to sensitive nature of the job
Experience in a fast-growing and/or technology company
Experience working independently while contributing within a team environment
PHR Certification is a plus
