Argument is a common term. Argument is found everywhere. Argument is prevalent among families, organizations, relationships, politics, businesses etc. Argument is nothing but the discussion or the talk that takes place between two or more parties due to the differences in their opinions whether at home or in the corporate setup.

The arguments are oral or written, verbal or non-verbal, descriptive or short, right or wrong, reasonable or unreasonable etc. Arguments are formal or informal, legal or illegal also. Both the parties put forward their opinion to be executed over a particular matter. They argue over their points. The argument takes place when there is differing opinions between both the parties. As far as possible avoid falling into argument especially at your workplace. There are certain principles and techniques to be adopted to win in arguments. At your workplace if an arguer follows those principles of arguments, then there are chances of his winning the argument irrespective of with whom he argues.

The first way to win an argument is by being a patient listener. Listening is a good habit. Listening is better then speaking when in any dispute. If you are a good listener then only you can become a good communicator. Before you speak anything in an argument, first try to listen to the matter from the opposition party's point of view. Don't speak anything unless you are sure that you are very right and you should speak something. Proper communication is a must between both the parties. When you understand the matter after thorough listening then you start speaking from your side. Remain patient and talk less in an argument. Be consistent and persuasive unless the argument gets over. Be polite while talking. Communicate all your points to the opposite party in a polite and understandable way.
