Base salary up $50,000 –

Duties
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Executive Director
with all aspects of administering employee benefits programs and recruiting
of exempt and non-exempt staff positions
Prescreen resumes; conduct applicant
testing; track and maintain all recruiting and new hire data
Perform background and reference
checks
Prepare responses to all applicants;
maintain files/database on candidates and new hires
Assist with new hire orientations
Create and update new hire orientation
materials
Maintain and update on-going
employee changes throughout all databases
Assist with the development
of, and maintenance of, firm human resource policies, operating procedures
and business continuity procedures.
Maintain the office personnel
handbook and posters to ensure all firm policies and firm postings comply
with Federal, State and local laws and regulations and mandatory postings
Assist with the administration
of staff performance management including 90 day, six month and annual
performance evaluations
Assist in the administration
of ADA, COBRA, FSA and FMLA, disseminating all mandatory notices including
but not limited to COBRA, CHIP and Medicare
Provide guidance on various
employee benefit plans and serve as a first contact for employees with
questions or issues regarding benefits
Responsible for maintenance
of and accuracy of benefit data in the HRIS and carrier databases
Coordinate all benefit changes
to payroll when appropriate
Collect and review all non-exempt
staff timesheets for accuracy and compliance with firm policies
Review staff absence requests
for compliance with firm policies.
Assist with wellness programs,
social functions and other departmental sponsored activities
Required
2 years of Human Resources
experience with exposure to recruiting and benefits administration
Excellent communication skills
with the ability to effectively explain and relay employee information
Possesses a high degree of common
sense with the ability to make sound judgment calls
Must exercise discretion at
all times and be able to assist in conflict resolution
Tech-savvy with a demonstrated
proficiency utilizing HRIS systems, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel
Flexible to work occasional
overtime
Bachelor’s degree
