ABOUT THIS TEMPORARY POSITION
This is a full-time temporary position (40 hours per week), meaning that it has a set start and end date, which is estimated to start as soon as possible through mid-July. The length of the assignment is always dependent on business need and dates may change. While the assignment would be at the Alliance, if selected, you would be an employee of a temporary employment agency that we would connect you with.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position coordinates and administers the Alliance’s suite of benefit programs and performs a variety of activities in support of employee benefit programs. Some of the day to day work includes acting as the primary point of contact for incoming inquiries, issues and requests from employees, managers and vendors related to benefits, worker’s compensation, and leaves of absence. Some of the other work includes providing information and assisting employees with enrollment in benefit programs, conducting benefits presentations at New Hire Orientation, and ensuring timely and accurate benefits enrollments. You may also meet with the Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Representatives to review worker’s compensation claims status and develop strategies for resolution.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Knowledge of:
Applicable federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL and ADA rules and regulation
Methods and techniques of data entry and data auditing
Principles and practices of customer service
The use of Windows based PC system and Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel (including pivot tables)
Ability to:
Interpret, explain and apply applicable policies, laws, and regulations
Identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, make sound decisions within established guidelines, and recognize matters requiring escalation to a higher-level staff member
Enter, proofread, verify, analyze and audit data, and identify data anomalies
Produce organized, accurate, and detail-oriented work and maintain accurate records
Quickly learn and navigate Alliance software programs and database systems and perform accurate and timely data entry into multiple systems
Education and Experience:
High school graduation and a minimum of four years of experience administering or supporting employee benefit programs (an Associate’s degree may substitute for one year of the required experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be qualifying
OTHER DETAILS
While this position is connected to one of our Alliance offices, we are in hybrid telecommute work environment right now and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely. This is a full-time telecommute (remote) position.
Our Alliance office locations have officially re-opened as of May 2, 2022 and while some employees may work in full-time telecommute schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.

COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement:
At this time, this position requires vaccination or regular testing upon office entry. Fully vaccinated and boosted is defined as receipt of the second dose in a 2-dose series (Pfizer & Moderna vaccines) OR receipt of a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson); AND receipt of the booster (if eligible); AND a 2-week period having passed since the administration of the last vaccine dose. If you state that you are vaccinated, proof of vaccination must be submitted at time of hire.
