ABOUT THIS TEMPORARY POSITION
This is a full-time temporary position (40 hours per week), meaning that it has a set start and end date, which is estimated to start as soon as possible through August 31, 2022. The length of the assignment is always dependent on business need and dates may change. While the assignment would be at the Alliance, if selected, you would be an employee of a temporary employment agency that we would connect you with.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position performs Human Resources (HR) duties in the areas of benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, on/off-boarding, policy implementation, and employment law compliance. Some of the day to day work includes acting as point of contact for incoming inquiries, issues, and requests from employees and managers related to HR administration, including benefits, leaves of absence and policy questions. Other work includes acting as a resource and maintaining accurate and up to date knowledge on applicable state and federal and local employment laws and regulations, responding to local, state employment inquiries as well as supporting activities related to on-boarding, off-boarding, data management, compliance, and other procedures associated with the full employment lifecycle.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Knowledge of:
HR concepts, employee relations, compensation administration, training and other areas of HR and an understanding of how work may affect other functional areas
Applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, and ability to interpret and explain
HR programs, services, policies, and practices and/or where to obtain information
Ability to:
Produce work that demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Research, correctly interpret, summarize, and present complex information from a wide variety of sources, including policies and regulations to various stakeholders
Analyze information and apply critical thinking skills considering potential risk or precedence and develop innovative, effective recommendations or solutions
Exercise judgment and discretion in sensitive and/or confidential personnel and organizational matters
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration or a related field
Five years of experience in Human Resources with a minimum of four years of professional-level experience applying knowledge and concepts of employee relations practices and programs; or an equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be qualifying
OTHER DETAILS
While this position is connected to one of our Alliance offices, we are in hybrid telecommute work environment right now and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely. This is a full-time telecommute (remote) position.
Our Alliance office locations have officially re-opened as of May 2, 2022 and while some employees may work in full-time telecommute schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.
This is a temporary position, and does not provide the benefits that are listed below (it is standard language from our regular job posts and cannot be altered or removed)
COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement:
At this time, this position requires vaccination or regular testing upon office entry. Fully vaccinated and boosted is defined as receipt of the second dose in a 2-dose series (Pfizer & Moderna vaccines) OR receipt of a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson); AND receipt of the booster (if eligible); AND a 2-week period having passed since the administration of the last vaccine dose. If you state that you are vaccinated, proof of vaccination must be submitted at time of hire.
